Copy-Trading Authorization
Version copy-authorization-v2
1. What you authorise
Meror may place, modify and cancel orders in the account you have connected, solely to mirror the positions of traders you choose to copy, in proportion to the amount you allocate to each, until you revoke this authorization or stop the copy.
2. Your limits govern
No order is placed that would breach the limits you set: maximum position size, cash reserve, drawdown circuit breaker and permitted instruments. Limits are enforced before every order on the data then available.
3. Execution is not guaranteed
Orders are sent to your venue as market or equivalent orders. They may fill at prices different from the copied trader's, may fill partially, may be rejected by the venue, or may not fill. Delays between the trader's fill and yours are inherent.
4. Equivalent contracts
When a copied trader holds a market that your venue does not list, an equivalent contract on your venue may be used if its subject, threshold and settlement date match closely; the match rules are published. When no clear equivalent exists, the position is not copied and is recorded as refused. Equivalent contracts can differ in price, liquidity and resolution.
5. Instruments your venue cannot trade
Positions in instruments your venue does not offer (for example a perpetual future when your account is an equities brokerage) are not copied and are recorded as refused.
6. You can lose money
You acknowledge that copying can lose some or all of the money you allocate, and with leveraged instruments more than that; that past performance of any trader does not predict future results; and that Meror does not guarantee any outcome.
7. Not advice; not custody
Traders shown are not recommendations. Meror is not your adviser, broker or custodian. Your funds and positions remain at your venue under your control; Meror never holds them.
8. Eligibility and law
You confirm that you are permitted to hold and trade in the connected account from your jurisdiction, that the account is yours, and that you will comply with your venue's rules and applicable law, including tax reporting.
9. Revocation
You may revoke this authorization at any time from the real-money page. Copying stops immediately; orders already sent may still fill; open positions remain yours to manage at your venue.
10. Record
Your acceptance is recorded with this document's version, the time, and the network address it was given from, and is kept as required by law.
